Thrill and Romance -at its best
Sidney Sheldon is undoubtedly the master of thrill and mystery.All his books are too interesting, gripping and cannot be kept down once started.And "the sands of time" is one of his best creation.
The book is women oriented.It's about four nuns Lucia, Megan, Teresa, and Graciellia who escape a convent, and their journeys in the outside world.Its about how these four women face the outside world full of violence, greed, and betrayal.The book describes their journey not only in the outside world but also into their insight- their heart and their souls, analysing their fears and their strengths.And then there stories of heart as well, some of which reach their destination while some are left incomplete.
The author has described each and every character in detail.Although there are so many characters involved, each of them hold its individuality, all credit to the author.The plot is interesting and the story moves fast without a dull moment.There is a lot of violence but then there are sweet moments of romance.Also the hidden mystery keeps the excitement on throughout the book till the last page.And last but not the least is the forbidden but beautiful love that happens to the main characters.
I read this book sometime back and I thinks its one of his best book. So if you are a Sidney Sheldon fan, this book is a must and if you are not it will make you one for sure.Mystery, Romance or thrill whatever may be your choice a good answer is " The Sands of Time ".
