Kasauli - In the Lap of Nature

With the Almighty's grace, I have been able to enjoy a few trips.

one of them is a trip to a small hill station Kasauli. It is located in Himachal Pradesh, about one hour 30 mins from Chandigarh or 6-7 hours from Delhi.

One could either take a bus to Chandigarh and then hire a taxi.Going by a personal vehicle or a taxi offers you opportunity to enjoy the view and stop on the way wherever you wish to.

The roads are good. And view on the sides is amazing. There is big ropeway called the Timber trail, which appears quite scary but is also adventurous. As you move further there are small shops, stalls and small restaurants or coffee shops on the either side. you would definitely spot monkeys on the way, so be careful with your window glass.

Stop at any of the shop or restaurant to enjoy the view

As you move further you will spot various hotels .You could either rent a room in hotel located at some distance from the destination or exactly at the mall road, or a homestay. Choose a room with a view of the hills .

You can then move on to explore the place. There is a small beautiful Church on the Mall road. Then there is the sunset point. You need to walk to that place and you might need quite a stamina to climb the height but once you reach there, you would realise that the beauty of the view was worth the pain.

Climb down and refresh yourself with hot momos, tea, coffee, samosa or pakoras. You could try some other chinese foodstuff as well. There are small outlets selling various snacks. You definitely would like to rest after the tiring but enjoyable day.

Next day you could go to visit the famous Hanumanji temple which would again demand a lot of energy and then take a ride on a toy train. Kasuali is known for the amazing weather and is a boon in summer.

Definitely plan your trip.

  1. Nice place to visit with some of the amazing resorts and not so far from Delhi. It would be really good if you can share some pics about your trip and any specific hotel/resorts where one should/avoid going to.
